History and features of Zillow
The roots of zilobafi go back to ancient times. The hot and dry weather conditions of some areas of Iran, especially the desert areas, made people turn to the production of cool and resistant mats. Zillos are usually woven from wool or cotton and have simple geometric designs. The use of natural vegetable and mineral colors has also added to the beauty and originality of the zilos.
Types of Zillow and its uses
Zillos are divided into different types based on texture area, design and application. Yazdi and Meibdi zilos are among the most famous types of zilos. Zillow’s applications are very diverse and include from underlay and tabletop to decorative elements in interior decoration.
Raw materials and tools used in weaving
Materials: Zillos are usually woven from wool or cotton. Because of its thermal insulation and high durability, wool is mostly used for the texture of winter clothes. Cotton is also more suitable for the texture of summer clothes due to its coolness and softness.
