Tomb of the poets of Tabriz is the tomb of many Iranian poets and writers. This historical cemetery is located in Tabriz city and in Sorkhab neighborhood.
History:
Tabriz’s tomb is 800 years old. The first poet who was buried in this cemetery was Asadi Toosi. After that Tarran Tabrizi was also buried in this place. Over time, many poets and writers were buried in this place and the tomb of poets became one of the most important cultural places in Iran.
Architecture:
Tabriz’s Tomb of the Poets has a central building and several small tombs. The central building was built during the Safavid era and has a dome and four minarets. Small tombs were also built in different historical periods.
Buried poets and writers:
Many Iranian poets and writers are buried in Tabriz’s Tomb of Poets. Among these people, we can mention Asadi Toosi, Qatran Tabrizi, Khaqani, Nizami Ganjavi, Mujiruddin Bilqani, Fakhruddin Asad Gorgani, Seyed Hassan Ghaznavi, Shahriar and Shiqah Al Islam Tabrizi.

Tomb of the poets of Tabriz is one of the most important cultural places in Iran. This place is the tomb of many Iranian poets and writers and is also known as a literary museum. The Tomb of the poets of Tabriz was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 2007.
