The tomb of Babataher Arian, a famous Iranian poet, is located in Babataher Square in Hamadan and on top of a hill overlooking the city. This building has become one of the popular tourist attractions of Hamedan due to its special architecture and beautiful landscape.
History:
The original building of Baba Tahir tomb was built on the grave of this poet in the 5th century AH, but it has been renovated many times throughout history. The current building of the tomb was designed and built in 1346 by engineer Hoshang Sihon.
Architecture:
Baba Taher’s tomb is an octagonal building with a turquoise colored dome. The exterior of the building is decorated with bricks and tiles, and marble is used inside.
Internal space:
Inside the mausoleum, Baba Taher’s tombstone is in the center and around it, poems of this great poet are written on the walls.
The area:
The area of Baba Taher’s tomb is decorated with beautiful trees and flowers and provides a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for pilgrims and tourists.
