The tomb of Atar Neishaburi

The tomb of Atar Neishaburi, a famous Iranian poet and mystic, is located in the city of Neishabour. This building was built during the Timurid period and by the order of Amir Alishir Nawai, the minister of Sultan Hossein Bayqra, on the grave of Attar.
Architecture:
The tomb of Atar Nishaburi consists of two separate parts:
Main Building: The main building of the tomb is an octagonal tower made of brick and mortar. Inside this tower, the tombstone of Atar Nishaburi is located.
Yard: The yard of the tomb is a green and clean space that is decorated with different trees and flowers. In the middle of the yard, there is a pond that doubles its beauty.
Decorations:
The tomb of Atar Nishaburi is decorated using different elements:
Inscription: Above the entrance door of the tomb, there is a marble inscription on which a poem by Attar Nishaburi is engraved.
Painting: Inside the main building of the mausoleum, there are paintings of Attar Nishaburi’s face as well as paintings of mystical themes.
Tiling: In the exterior and interior of the mausoleum, mosaic and seven-color tiles are used.
