The prominent role of Khang Kamalvand:
Introduction:
Khang Kamalvand relief, which is also known as Kamalvand reliefs and Khang Kamalvand petroglyphs, belongs to the Sasanian period and is located 7 km northeast of Izeh, in Kamalvand village. This work was registered as one of the national works of Iran on 15 January 1376 with registration number 2122.
History:
Khang Kamalvand’s relief includes two reliefs:
The first relief: it belongs to the Sasanian period and depicts Shapur II, the Sasanian king, hunting a boar.
The second relief: it is most likely related to the Sassanid period and two goddesses Anahita and Mehr are depicted in it.
Architecture:
The reliefs of Khang Kamalvand are carved on a big rock next to Karun river. These roles are located at a height of about 5 meters from the ground.
