The desert plain of Iran

The desert plain of Iran is a large salt desert located in the central plateau of Iran. This plain is about 800 km long and 320 km wide and covers an area of about 77,600 square kilometers. Iran’s desert plain is the largest desert in Iran and the 25th largest desert in the world.
Iran’s desert plain is located in South Khorasan province. This plain is bounded by the Alborz mountain range from the north, the salt desert from the east, the Lut plain from the south, and the Zagros mountains from the west.
Iran’s desert plain has a very dry and hot climate. The average annual temperature in this plain is about 25 degrees Celsius. In the summer, the air temperature in the desert plain of Iran can reach more than 50 degrees Celsius. In winter, the air temperature in this plain can reach below zero degrees Celsius.
Iran’s desert plain has very little flora and fauna. Some of the plants that can be found in this plain are: Tag, Gaz, Esqbil and Dermene. Some of the animals found in this plain are: deer, wolf, fox, hyena and snake.
