Alborz Province is one of Iran’s youngest provinces, established in 2010 after being separated from Tehran Province. Located just west of Tehran, it serves as a strategic residential, industrial, and transportation hub. The provincial capital, Karaj, is a major urban center known for its proximity to the Alborz mountain range and the scenic Chalus Road connecting central Iran to the Caspian Sea. Due to its geographic position and growing infrastructure, Alborz plays an important role in industry, agriculture, and scientific research within the country.
