Shauktieh historical school: a treasure of architecture and history in the heart of Birjand
Shoktiye School is a magnificent and historical building in the city of Birjand, the capital of South Khorasan province. This school, which was built in the Qajar period and by the order of Haj Mirza Ali Mohammad Shoukti, one of the rich and benefactors of that period, is known as one of the most important and beautiful historical schools in Iran.

History:
Construction: Shoktie School was built in 1285 AH.
Activity: This school was active as a school of religious sciences until 1357.
Museum: After the Islamic revolution, this school became a museum and is now known as Birjand Museum of Anthropology and Archeology.

Ground floor: In this floor, there are sections related to daily life, customs, and traditional jobs of South Khorasan people.
First floor: On this floor, there are sections related to clothing, ornaments, and handicrafts.
Yard: In the yard of the museum, you can see the beautiful green space as well as some examples of traditional agricultural tools and implements.
