Architecture and structure: Salas Castle, with an area of about 8 hectares, consists of various parts such as towers and ramparts, gates, fences, halls and barracks. The main materials used in the construction of this fort are brick and stone, and Saroj mortar is also used for the strength of the building.

Bridges: In the past, four bridges divided Salas Castle into two parts, north and south, of which there are no traces left today.
Naming: The name of Salas Castle is attributed to the chains that were used to close the gates of the castle in the past.
History of Salas Castle:
Sassanid era: According to historical evidence, Salas Castle was built during the Sassanid era and by the order of Shapur I of Sassanid.
Post-Islam era: After Islam, Salas Castle has been renovated many times and has been used in different historical periods, including Al-Buya, Seljuq, Safavid and Qajar.

Today: Currently, parts of Salas Castle have been converted into the Shushtar Stone and Anthropology Museum and are open to the public.
