Sadrabad caravanserai architecture
Sadrabad Caravanserai consists of two separate parts: the central courtyard and the observation towers.
Central courtyard: The central courtyard of the caravanserai is square and paved with bricks. The courtyard is surrounded by high chambers and porches. Brick and tile decorations have doubled the beauty of this part of the caravanserai.
In the middle of the central courtyard, there is a large pond that was used in the past to collect rainwater and for the use of caravans. Around the pond, palm and cypress trees are planted to provide shade
Lookout towers: There are four tall lookout towers at the four corners of the caravanserai. These towers are made of brick and have narrow windows, which were used to watch and protect the caravanserai against thieves and bandits.
