Sadr al-Din Tomb: A gem in the heart of Iranian history
Sadr al-Din Mausoleum, which is also known as Sadr al-Din Tomb Tower, is a relic of the ups and downs of Iran’s history, which is located in the city of Kashan in Isfahan province. The age of this tomb dates back to the Seljuk period and it has been around 900 years.
History:
The tomb of Sadr al-Din was built in 503 AH by the order of Khwaja Abul Fazl bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz Kashani, the minister of Sultan Malikshah Seljuqi, for his father, Sadr al-Din Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz. Sadr al-Din Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz was one of the famous scholars and jurists of the Seljuk period.
Architecture:
Sadr al-Din tomb is built with brick and stone materials and Azari style. The facade of the tomb is decorated with brick and tile decorations. The entrance to the tomb is also decorated with a high arch and tiled decorations.
The inside of the tomb is also decorated with brick and tile decorations. The shrine and the grave of Sadr al-Din Muhammad bin Abdulaziz are also located inside the tomb.
