Radkan Tower: A gem in the heart of history
Radkan Tower, the embodiment of thousands of years of effort and creativity of Iranian people, is located 74 km north of Mashhad city and 26 km northwest of Chenaran city in Razavi Khorasan province. This tower, which is known as one of the oldest and highest brick towers in Iran, was registered in the list of national works of Iran in 1310.
History of Radkan Tower:
The construction date of Radkan Tower dates back to the Ilkhanian period. It is said that this tower was built by Khwaja Nasiruddin Tosi, a prominent Iranian astronomer and mathematician. Others believe that this tower was built as the tomb of one of the patriarchs.
