The Persian Cat Museum is located on Nejat Elahi Street in Tehran. This museum is the first cat museum in Iran and the Middle East and was opened in 2018.
This museum is divided into two parts:
The first part contains a space for keeping cats. In this section, about 40 cats of different Iranian and foreign breeds are kept. Visitors can visit and play with these cats.
The second section includes a space to display information about cats. In this section, photos, paintings, sculptures and various objects related to cats are displayed.
The purpose of establishing the Iranian Cat Museum is to increase public awareness about cats and promote the culture of keeping them. The museum also seeks to protect the rights of cats and prevent their harassment.
