Narin Qala Meibod, a strong fortress in the heart of the desert
Narin Qala Meibod, with an age of more than 5000 years, is the oldest government citadel in the world and the largest adobe and mud building left over from ancient times around the world. This magnificent castle, which is built on the highest hill of Meybod city, is also known as Dej, Kohen Dej, and in the local dialect, Naranj Qala.

Narin Qala Museum of Anthropology displays the customs and culture of the Meibod people. In this museum, you can see traditional agricultural tools, local clothes, pottery and old coins.
