Lucy’s house

Lucy’s house: a gallery of pure photos in the heart of Kashan
Lucy’s House is the title of a cultural complex in the heart of the historical context of Kashan, which is dedicated to the exhibition of photographs. This renovated Qajar house, with 3 courtyards, 30 rooms and 2 windbreaks, has provided a pleasant and eye-catching atmosphere for displaying the works of the world’s leading photographers.
Lucy Award:
The focus of Lucy House exhibitions are the works of photographers who have received the Lucy Photo Award. Since 2003, this award has been given annually to photographers from all over the world who have spent their lives photographing and recording pure and lasting moments. To date, around 150 distinguished photographers have been honored with the award, including Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Bailey, Nan Goldin, James Knocktoy, Steve McCurry, Martin Parr and Steven Shore.
Features of the exhibition:
Photographs are unsigned, unedited and without monetary value and are exhibited solely to introduce the great masters of photography and to acknowledge their efforts.
The collection of photos has been collected from among the works donated by the photographers themselves to the Lucy Foundation.
Rooms are dedicated to the works of prominent photographers such as Kenro Izzo, George Tice and Steve McCurry.
In addition to the exhibition space, the library and media room are also built in this complex for the use of visitors.
Temporary exhibitions:
Two exhibition spaces (indoor and outdoor) in Lucy’s house are intended for setting up temporary exhibitions. These galleries have opened with the display of portraits of Iranian photographers by Mehrdad Eskoi and works by Italian photographer Ivan De Rosa, and will host various exhibitions of prominent artists.
