Kariz Underground City is an ancient aqueduct system located on Kish Island, Iran. It is estimated to be over 2,500 years old and is one of the most important historical sites on the island. The Kariz is a complex network of tunnels and wells that were used to transport water from the mountains to the villages and towns on the island. The water was essential for the survival of the people of Kish, as the island is naturally dry.
