The Asiyab Kharabeh Waterfall is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in northwestern Iran, located near the town of Jolfa close to the Aras River. Surrounded by lush greenery, moss-covered rocks, and mountain landscapes, it is considered one of the most scenic waterfalls in East Azerbaijan Province.
Natural Setting and Formation
Asiyab Kharabeh, which literally means “Ruined Mill,” gets its name from the remains of an old water mill that once operated near the waterfall. The site is fed by mountain springs that flow continuously, creating a steady cascade of water over rocky cliffs.
