Khoi Municipal Building: A gem in the heart of history and architecture
Khoi Municipality Building, which is also known as Khoi Municipality Palace, is a relic of the ups and downs of Iran’s history, which is located in the center of Khoi city in West Azarbaijan province. This building dates back to the first Pahlavi period and it has been around 90 years.
History:
Khoi Municipality building was built in 1313 by the order of Reza Shah Pahlavi and with the architecture of German architects. In its time, this building was the most modern office building in northwest Iran.
Architecture:
Khoi municipality building is built with brick and stone materials and in neoclassical style. The facade of the building is decorated with tall columns, decorated capitals and arched windows. The entrance of the building is also decorated with lion and eagle sculptures.
The interior of the building is also decorated with stucco decorations, paintings and sculptures. The meeting hall of the building is also decorated with beautiful plasterwork and luxurious chandeliers.
