Kershahi Castle: a historical fortress in the heart of the desert

Karshahi Castle is located 30 kilometers northeast of Abu Zidabad city, in the vicinity of Yakhab Heights and in the south of Band Rig. This castle is located in the conservation area of Koirat sector (Abu Zeidabad city), Aran and Bidgol city, Isfahan province.

Kershahi Castle with its defensive architecture occupies an area of over 8000 square meters.
In the construction of this building, sandy soil from the surrounding mountains was used.
The tower and the ramparts of the castle are devoid of any decoration except for the porcelain ridge.

This castle is considered the second largest adobe building in Iran after the Bam citadel.
