Helt Strait: a masterpiece of nature in the heart of Lorestan
Helt Strait, which is also known as Held Strait, is one of the most beautiful and amazing gorges in Iran, which is located in Lorestan province and Poldakhtar region. This gorge is about 4 kilometers long and is located among high rocks and stone walls. The roaring Zal river passes through this gorge and creates a very beautiful and eye-catching landscape.
In addition to natural beauty, Helt Strait has historical attractions as well. In the walls of this gorge, traces and signs of human life in ancient times can be seen. Also, near this gorge, there are other historical monuments such as Falak El Aflak Castle and Shapuri Bridge.
Helt Gorge is a suitable area for various tourism activities such as mountain climbing, rock climbing, hiking, picnic and photography. Every year many tourists from all over Iran and the world visit this gorge.
