Dareh Shahr is a city with a long history and pristine nature in Ilam province, which shines as if a gem in the heart of the Zagros mountain range. This city, which was known as Simre and Madakto in the past, as one of the first cities of the Elamites, is the narrator of untold stories of the history of Iran.

From the glory and majesty of the Elamian and Sasanian eras to the destruction and looting during the Assyrian invasion of Bani Pal, this city has always witnessed important events in the history of Iran.
