A lake at the bottom of the pit: At the bottom of this huge natural structure, there is a lake full of cold water and carbonic gas. Due to the great depth of the pit, it is impossible to reach the water level from the opening.

The legend of the prison: Local legends indicate that in the distant past, local khans would throw them into this horrible pit by tying stones to their feet to punish opponents and rebels. For this reason, the name of Beranjah prison has been preserved in this area.
Dry lime spring: According to scientific findings, Baranja Prison was an active lime spring in the past. The property of the water of this spring is to dissolve limestone, which has caused the formation of this huge pit over thousands of years. After the spring dries up, this natural phenomenon remains.
