Ardestan Jame Mosque: a treasure of history and art in the heart of the desert
Ardestan Jame Mosque, a jewel in the heart of the Iranian desert, is not only a religious place, but also a treasure of Iranian history, art and culture. This mosque dates back to the Seljuk era and has witnessed many ups and downs over the centuries.
Architecture:
Porches: Four lofty and long porches with mosaic tiling and beautiful moqrans surround the courtyard of the mosque. Each porch, as an artistic masterpiece, shows off the elegance and beauty of Iranian architecture. The southern porch, the tallest and most magnificent porch of the mosque, is decorated with an inscription of mosaic tiles that shows the date of construction of the mosque in 481 AH.
Dome: The high and brick dome of the mosque, with its grandeur and splendor, is placed above the mosque. The decoration of the dome with brickwork and moqransbandi has given it a special effect.
Mihrab: The mosque’s mihrab is a masterpiece of tile and calligraphy art. The mosaic tiles with Slimi motifs and Kufi lines have doubled the beauty and elegance of the altar.
Minaret: The brick minaret of the mosque with a height of 33 meters can be seen from the farthest parts of the city.

Tiling: Ardestan Jame Mosque has become a shining gem in the heart of the desert with multicolor and seven-color tiling in the porches, mihrab and other parts of the mosque. Islamic, geometric patterns and Quranic verses are engraved on the tiles with all elegance and beauty.

Moqranskari: Delicate and artistic moqranskari, in the porches and dome of the mosque, have given it a special and eye-catching effect.
