Aine Khana Mofkham mansion, a jewel in the heart of North Khorasan
Aine Khaneh Mofkham mansion, a valuable relic of the Qajar era, is located in Bojnord city and as one of the popular tourist attractions of this city, it attracts many tourists every year. This magnificent building, which is located on North Shariati Street, was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 1379 under number 1167.
History:
Sardar Mofkham (Youssef Khan Amirazdi), the ruler of Bojnord at the end of the Qajar period, ordered the construction of this mansion. The mansion of Aine Khana Mofkham was originally used as the residence and office of Sardar Mofkham. After the death of Sardar Mofkham, this mansion was inherited by his children and was owned by the Mofkham family until 1376. Finally, in 1376, this mansion was bought by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of North Khorasan and turned into a museum.
Architecture:
Aine Khaneh Mofkham mansion is built on a land of about 4000 square meters. This mansion has two floors and 34 rooms and two large halls, which are decorated with mirror work, stucco and beautiful paintings.
Different sections:
Hall of Mirrors: This hall, which is considered the most beautiful part of the mansion, has a mirrored ceiling and walls. In this hall, paintings of prominent figures from the Safavid to Qajar period can be seen.
Museum of Documents and Manuscripts: In this museum, which is currently open in the mansion of Aine Khana Mofkham, exquisite and valuable documents and manuscripts from different historical periods are exhibited.
Hozkhaneh: The Hozkhaneh is located in the basement of this mansion and has beautiful brick and tile decorations.
Kolafrangi: The building of Kolafrangi is located in a corner of the courtyard of Aineh Khaneh Mofkham mansion and has two floors and a conical dome.
