Abarkoh cedar, a relic of Iran’s history
Abarkoh cedar, in Yazd province, is an old tree that is about 4000 years old. This tree is the third oldest tree in the world and the oldest tree in Iran.
Abarkoh cypress tree is located in the center of Abarkoh city and in a large and enclosed area. The height of this tree is about 25 meters and its trunk diameter is about 11 meters. The trunk of the tree is hollow and there are cracks in different parts of it.
