Tomb of two perfections
Do Kamal tomb is located in one of the gardens of Bilankoh neighborhood in the east of Tabriz city. This tomb is the burial place of two prominent Iranian personalities:
Kamaluddin Masoud Khojandi (died 793 AH): famous poet and lyricist of the 8th and 9th centuries.
Kamaluddin Behzad (died 942 AH): famous painter and painter of the 10th century AH
History:
Bagh Kamal: According to historical documents, Kamaluddin Khojandi came to Tabriz after the Hajj and stayed there because of his interest in the culture of this city. Sultan Hossein Jalairi, the then ruler of Tabriz, was interested in Kamaluddin and gifted him a garden in Bilankoh neighborhood. Khujandi built a monastery in this garden and named it “Kamal Garden”.
Tomb of two Kamal: after the death of Khojandi, he was buried in his garden monastery. In the Safavid period, considering Kamaluddin Behzad’s artistic position, his body was moved to this garden and buried next to Khojandi.
National registration: This tomb was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 1377 with number 2056.
