Taj House, a gem of Qajar architecture in the heart of Kashan
The Taj House, known as the Sohrab Sepehri House, is a luxurious mansion from the Qajar period, located in the city of Kashan. This historical building with its eye-catching architecture and pleasant atmosphere is known as one of the prominent tourist attractions of Kashan city and receives a huge number of domestic and foreign tourists every year.
Architecture:
The Taj house is built on a land of 1200 square meters and includes two parts, inner and outer. The inner part includes many courtyards, halls, rooms, and the outer part includes service and stables.
Decorations:
The internal and external decorations of the Taj house are proof of the art and creativity of Iranian architects and artists in the Qajar period. Wall paintings, delicate tiling, exquisite plasterwork, eye-catching mirror work and beautiful moqran work are among the decorations of this historical building.
Role of Sohrab Sepehri:
Sohrab Sepehri, a prominent Iranian poet and painter, was born and raised in this house. The calm and pleasant atmosphere of the house, the green garden and its trees, all have played an essential role as sources of inspiration in the creation of the artworks of this famous artist.
